Legal information
Everything that governs the use of Wadini, on one page: terms of use, the driver partnership, privacy, cookies, account deletion, cancellations, safety, legal notice and disputes.
The French version of these documents is the authoritative one. The Arabic and English translations are provided for your convenience.
These terms of use ("Terms") govern access to the Wadini rider app, the wadini-td.com website and the related services, published by SOCIETE RIMA TECH SARL. By creating an account or ordering a ride you accept them without reservation. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1.1 Purpose and definitions
"Wadini" means the digital platform operated by SOCIETE RIMA TECH SARL, available through the mobile apps and the wadini-td.com website. "Rider" means any person who uses the app to order a ride. "Driver" means an independent professional, verified by Wadini, who carries out rides with their own vehicle or a fleet partner's.
The Terms apply to every use of the service. They are completed by the privacy policy, the cookie policy, the cancellation and refund policy and the safety and conduct rules, all on this page.
1.2 Nature of the service
Wadini is an intermediation service. SOCIETE RIMA TECH SARL operates the platform, verifies drivers and vehicles, calculates prices and handles reports; it is not a transport company and does not carry out rides itself. The transport contract is concluded directly between the rider and the driver.
The service is available in the cities where it is open (N'Djamena, Moundou, Abéché, Sarh). The ride products offered (for example Clando, Sawa, Sahel, Taxi, Jama, VIP) and the Priority option are shown in the app before every booking.
1.3 Eligibility and account
You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to contract to create a rider account. The account is opened with a phone number, verified by a code sent by SMS, or with a Google or Apple account. One person may hold only one account.
You are responsible for your account and everything done with it: keep your password secret, do not share it, and tell us immediately (+235 64 29 13 00) if you think someone else is using it. The information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.
1.4 Ordering a ride
You set your pickup point and destination (map pin, address or voice note), then choose a ride product. The price is shown before you confirm, calculated from the planned route, with a breakdown of fees. The Priority option, charged 100 XAF, puts your request at the front of the driver search.
The price only changes if the ride changes at your request (a stop added, a new destination). The app then shows the new price before you confirm. No surge pricing is applied.
1.5 Price and service fee
The price of a ride is made of a base fare, an amount for the planned distance and time, a minimum fare, and a flat service fee specific to each ride product. All amounts are in CFA francs (XAF), all taxes included.
Wadini takes no percentage commission on the fare. Its only revenue is the flat service fee -- 75 XAF per Clando (moto) ride and 100 XAF per car ride -- plus the 100 XAF of the Priority option when you choose it. The driver keeps everything else. These amounts may be adjusted; the exact amount in force is always shown in the app before booking and on your receipt.
1.6 Payment
Rides are paid to the driver at drop-off, in cash or, where the option is offered in the app, by mobile money (Airtel Money, Moov Money). Pay exactly the amount shown; you receive a detailed receipt in your history. Never pay more than the app's price.
You can leave a tip after the ride; it goes entirely to the driver. A ride paid by a Wadini for Business account follows the rules of that company account.
1.7 Cancellation
You can cancel a ride from the app. Cancelling is free as long as no driver has accepted the ride and during the 120 seconds after acceptance. After that, a cancellation fee of 300 XAF may apply to compensate the driver who set off. The cancellation and refund policy on this page details these rules.
1.8 Rider obligations
You agree to:
be at the pickup point at the agreed time and identify yourself to the driver;
respect the driver, the vehicle and the highway code (seat belt in a car, helmet on a moto);
carry no illegal or dangerous items, nor more passengers than the vehicle allows;
never ask the driver for an off-app ride or a price different from the one shown;
use the service for your legitimate personal or professional needs only.
Damage caused to the vehicle, and the resulting cleaning costs, may be charged to you on presentation of evidence.
1.9 Ratings and reports
After each ride, rider and driver can rate each other and leave a comment. Ratings keep the service's quality up; a persistently low average rating may lead to an account review. For a lost item or a problem (price, behaviour, safety, vehicle condition), open the ride in your history and choose Help: the ride is attached automatically and our team answers in the app.
1.10 Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account for breach of these Terms or of the safety rules, fraud, unpaid amounts, dangerous behaviour or repeated reports. Except in an emergency or where the law requires, we tell you the reason and you can answer through Help or at +235 64 29 13 00.
You can close your account at any time from the app's settings or from your space on the website (see "Account deletion").
1.11 Intellectual property
The Wadini brand, logo, apps, website, their texts, images and software belong to SOCIETE RIMA TECH SARL or its licensors. The Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app to order rides. Any reproduction, extraction, decompilation or reuse without written permission is prohibited.
1.12 Liability and warranties
Wadini does its best to keep the service working properly, without guaranteeing the absence of interruptions or errors, in particular in case of mobile network failure, force majeure or maintenance. SOCIETE RIMA TECH SARL's liability is limited to its role as an intermediary; it cannot be held liable for damage caused by a driver, a rider or a third party, nor for indirect damage.
Every driver must hold valid insurance covering passenger transport with the vehicle used. In case of an accident, the vehicle's insurance applies first; Wadini helps you identify the driver and vehicle involved.
1.13 Personal data
How your personal data is used is described in the privacy policy on this page. It complies with Law No. 007/PR/2015 on the protection of personal data.
1.14 Governing law and disputes
The Terms are governed by Chadian law. Any dispute is first submitted to an attempt at amicable resolution, then, failing that, to the courts of N'Djamena (see "Disputes and governing law").
These conditions govern the relationship between SOCIETE RIMA TECH SARL and anyone who carries out rides through the Wadini driver app. They complete the terms of use and the safety and conduct rules. By activating your driver account you accept them.
2.1 Independent contractor status
The driver is an independent professional. They freely choose their days and hours online, the rides they accept and how they organise their work. There is no relationship of subordination between the driver and SOCIETE RIMA TECH SARL: these conditions create no employment contract, agency or partnership.
The driver alone remains responsible for the obligations attached to their activity: highway code, transport permits required by the authorities, business licence and tax and social declarations, fines and penalties.
2.2 No exclusivity
The partnership is not exclusive. The driver may carry out any other activity and work with other platforms or clients, provided they do not use the Wadini app, brand or rider data to do so.
2.3 Admission requirements
To drive with Wadini you must:
be at least 21 years old;
hold a valid driving licence of the right category (B for cars, A for motos), obtained at least 2 years ago;
provide a national identity card or passport in the same name as the licence;
provide a criminal record extract less than 3 months old;
provide a clear photo of your face (selfie), used to check that it is really you driving.
A Wadini agent checks every document before the account is activated. A rejected document is flagged with its reason; you can upload a new one. Wadini may ask for a document to be updated at any time, in particular when it expires.
2.4 Vehicle
The vehicle used must:
be a car or moto from 2000 or newer, in good condition and clean;
have a registration certificate (in any owner's name), valid insurance that names the driver and, for cars, a valid roadworthiness test;
have been photographed and approved by a Wadini agent before carrying passengers.
The driver only uses the vehicle(s) approved on their account. On a moto (Clando) they wear a helmet and provide a clean one in good condition to the passenger.
2.5 Wadini's service fee
Wadini takes no percentage commission on fares. Its revenue is a flat service fee per ride: 75 XAF for a Clando (moto) ride and 100 XAF for a car ride, whatever the car product. When the rider chooses the Priority option, the corresponding 100 XAF are also kept by Wadini.
The driver keeps the whole fare, tips included, minus only these fees. The fee amounts are configurable and may change; the amount in force is shown to the driver for every ride and in the breakdown of their earnings. Any change is announced in the app before it takes effect.
2.6 First months fee-free
During the first 3 months after their driver profile is created, the driver pays no service fee to Wadini: they keep 100% of every fare. This period is automatic; its length is shown in the app and may be changed for new sign-ups, never shortened for a driver whose period is already running.
2.7 Collection and settlement of fees
Cash rides: the rider pays the full fare to the driver. The corresponding service fee is then debited from the driver's Wadini wallet in the app. The wallet balance may go negative up to 2000 XAF; beyond that, the driver cannot go online until they settle, by topping up the wallet (mobile money) or paying at a Wadini office against a receipt number.
Rides paid by mobile money or by a company account: the fare is collected by Wadini and credited to the driver's wallet, minus the service fee. The driver can request a payout of their balance under the conditions shown in the app (minimum amount, timing).
2.8 Carrying out rides
The driver is free to accept or decline an offered ride. Once accepted, they undertake to go to the pickup point, to follow the suggested route or any reasonable route the rider asks for, to respect the highway code and to end the ride in the app.
It is prohibited to:
ask the rider for a price different from the one shown or for a payment outside the app;
offer or carry out an off-app ride with a rider met through Wadini;
let another person use their account or approved vehicle;
repeatedly cancel accepted rides without a legitimate reason.
2.9 Insurance and liability
The driver must at all times hold valid insurance covering the vehicle and passenger transport, naming them as the driver. They alone are liable for damage caused to passengers, third parties or the vehicle during their rides, and for the maintenance and compliance of the vehicle.
SOCIETE RIMA TECH SARL is not an insurer and does not cover accidents. On request from the authorities or the insurer, it provides the necessary information about the ride concerned.
2.10 Fleet partners
A driver without a vehicle may post a request; verified fleet partners may offer them a vehicle through an agreement in the app. The agreement states the vehicle, the percentage going to the partner out of what the driver keeps after Wadini's fees, the rules of use and the notice period. It only starts when the driver accepts it, and either party may end it under the agreed notice. Wadini is not a party to that agreement.
2.11 Data and location
While the driver is online, the app sends their position continuously, including in the background, to offer them rides, guide the rider and secure trips. Documents, the photo and ride data are processed in accordance with the privacy policy on this page.
2.12 Deactivation and appeal
Wadini may suspend or deactivate a driver account for expired or forged documents, fraud, dangerous or disrespectful behaviour, repeated substantiated reports, an abnormal cancellation rate, unpaid amounts beyond the wallet limit, or a breach of these conditions or the safety rules. Except in an emergency (safety, fraud, legal request), the reason is communicated to the driver.
The driver may contest a decision within 30 days, through Help in the app or by writing to +235 64 29 13 00, attaching their explanations and evidence. Wadini reviews the file and answers in writing; a deactivation may be lifted if the facts justify it.
2.13 End of the partnership
The driver may stop using Wadini at any time and delete their account (see "Account deletion"). The end of the partnership does not end amounts still owed on either side -- unpaid service fees, wallet balance to be paid out -- nor agreements in progress with a fleet partner, which end under their own notice period.
This policy explains which personal data SOCIETE RIMA TECH SARL collects when you use Wadini, why, with whom it is shared, how long it is kept and what your rights are. It is drawn up in accordance with Law No. 007/PR/2015 of 10 February 2015 on the protection of personal data, whose application is supervised by the Agence nationale de sécurité informatique et de certification électronique (ANSICE).

3.9 Security
Exchanges between the apps and our servers are encrypted (TLS), passwords are stored hashed, documents are kept in a private space reachable only through signed, temporary links, and access to data is limited to the team members who need it. Every action by our team on an account is written to an audit log. In the event of a data breach likely to harm you, we inform you and ANSICE within the time limits set by law.
3.10 Your rights
Law No. 007/PR/2015 gives you the right:
to be informed about how your data is used;
to access your data and obtain a copy (you can also export it from the app's settings);
to have it corrected or completed;
to object, on legitimate grounds, to certain processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time;

3.11 Minors
Wadini is strictly for people aged 18 and over. We do not open accounts for minors and do not knowingly collect their data. A minor may travel accompanied by an adult account holder. If you think a minor has created an account, write to us: we will close it.
3.12 Cookies
The website uses essential cookies only; the cookie policy on this page lists them all and explains how to manage your choices.
3.13 Changes
We may update this policy to follow changes in the service or the law. The last-updated date appears at the top of the document; significant changes are announced in the app before they take effect.
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies the wadini-td.com website uses, why, and how you control them. It completes the privacy policy.
4.1 What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work the same way. Some are essential for the site to work; others are optional and are only used with your consent.
4.2 Your choice
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept all optional cookies, refuse them (only essential cookies are kept) or choose by category. Refusing is as easy as accepting and has no effect on the service. Your choice is kept for six months, after which we ask again, as we do whenever this policy changes. You can change your mind at any time from "Manage cookies" at the bottom of every page.
4.3 The cookies we use
Today the site uses essential cookies only: no advertising cookies, no trackers, no social-network buttons that follow you. To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless, aggregated and anonymous audience measurement that does not follow you from site to site. Fonts are served from our own servers. The full list is below.

4.4 Mobile apps
The Wadini apps do not use browser cookies. Pages of this site shown inside the apps do not display the banner; the app's settings apply.
4.5 Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser's settings. If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in to your space.
You can delete your Wadini account and your personal data at any time, free of charge and without giving a reason. Here is how, and what happens next.
5.1 From the app
In the rider or driver app: open Profile, then Settings, then "Data and privacy", and choose "Delete account". You can export your data first from the same screen. The request takes effect immediately.
5.2 From the website
Sign in at wadini-td.com, open "My account" and use the "Delete my account" section at the bottom of the page.
5.3 By email
If you no longer have access to your account, write to [To be completed] from the phone number or email address linked to the account, stating your name and number. We verify your identity before any deletion and confirm that your request has been received within 7 days.
5.4 Grace period
You are signed out of all your devices immediately.
For 30 days you can change your mind: simply sign in again to cancel the deletion.
After that, your account and personal data are permanently deleted or anonymised, with no possibility of recovery.
5.5 What is deleted
Your profile (name, phone, email, photo), saved addresses, preferences, voice notes, messages, notification identifier and, for drivers, your selfie and documents once the legal periods have elapsed. Your ride history is detached from your identity (anonymised).
5.6 What we must keep
Some information is kept after deletion, only for as long as the law requires or safety demands, then deleted: It is no longer used for the service and is accessible only to a restricted number of people.
ride receipts, payments and settlements: 10 years (accounting records);
reports and safety files: 3 years;
driver and partner documents: 3 years after the activity ends;
technical logs: 12 months at most.
5.7 Drivers and partners
Deleting the account does not end amounts still owed on either side (unpaid service fees, wallet balance to be paid out), nor agreements in progress with a fleet partner, which end under their notice period. We contact you if a balance must be settled or paid out before final deletion.
5.8 Deleting only some data
You can also ask for specific data to be deleted without closing your account -- for example a photo, a voice note or a saved address -- by writing to [To be completed].
This policy sets out when a cancellation is free, when fees apply, how to dispute a price and how we refund. The amounts quoted are those configured on the update date; the exact amount in force is always shown in the app before you confirm.
6.1 Free cancellation
You can cancel a ride from the app at any time before pickup. Cancelling is free:
as long as no driver has accepted the ride;
during the 120 seconds after a driver accepts;
if the driver is very late compared with the estimated arrival time shown.
6.2 Late cancellation fee
After the free window, a cancellation fee of 300 XAF may apply to compensate the driver who set off; 200 XAF go to the driver and the rest covers Wadini's handling costs. This amount is configurable and may depend on the ride product; it is shown before you confirm the cancellation. The fee is added to your next ride or settled by the means shown in the app.
6.3 No-show at the pickup point
The driver waits for you at the pickup point for a free waiting time shown in the app. If you are not there when it ends and do not answer their calls made through the app, they may cancel the ride and the late cancellation fee applies.
6.4 Cancellation by the driver or by Wadini
If the driver cancels, or if we cancel a ride for a technical or safety reason, no fee is charged to you and any amount already taken is refunded. You can order a new ride immediately. A driver who repeatedly cancels without a legitimate reason has their account reviewed.
6.5 Disputing a price or a fee
If a price or a fee seems unjustified (detour, waiting, cancellation, amount asked different from the one shown), open the ride in your history and choose Help, preferably within 30 days. Our team reviews the recorded route and answers in the app, usually within 5 working days. You must never pay more than the amount shown in the app.
6.6 Refunds
When we recognise that an amount was wrongly charged, we cancel the fee concerned or refund the difference, depending on the means used: credit on your Wadini account, refund by mobile money (Airtel Money, Moov Money) or, for a ride paid in cash, a cash refund at a Wadini office. We tell you the chosen means in our answer; the refund is made within 10 working days.
6.7 Tips
Tips are optional and go entirely to the driver. They are not refundable, except for an obvious error reported through Help within 48 hours.
6.8 Business rides
Rides paid by a Wadini for Business account follow the same rules. Disputes are raised by the employee concerned or by the company account's administrator; refunds are credited to the company account.
Wadini is built on trust between riders and drivers. These conduct rules apply to everyone who uses the service; breaking them may lead to suspension or closure of the account.
7.1 Our commitments
Every driver is met or verified by a Wadini agent: licence, identity document, criminal record, insurance and face photo.
Every vehicle is approved on papers and photos before its first ride.
The price is known before you set off and appears on a detailed receipt.
Calls go through the app: nobody sees the other person's number.
Your family can follow your ride live and an SOS button is available during every trip.
A team handles reports, with safety reports first.
7.2 Respect for everyone
Treat every person with courtesy. The following are prohibited: violence, threats, insults, harassment including sexual harassment, unwanted physical contact, and any discrimination based on origin, ethnicity, religion, sex, disability or age. A driver may not refuse a rider on these grounds, nor a rider a driver.
7.3 Zero tolerance
The following lead to immediate account closure and, where applicable, a report to the authorities: driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; any physical or sexual assault; threats with a weapon; carrying weapons, illegal goods or dangerous materials; identity fraud (account or vehicle used by another person); fraud.
7.4 Before getting in
Check that the plate, vehicle model and driver photo match those shown in the app. If not, do not get in and report it. Never get into a vehicle claiming to be a Wadini without a ride booked in the app: those rides are neither tracked nor covered.
7.5 During the ride
Share your trip live with someone close from the app.
Call the driver from the app: your number stays hidden.
Fasten your seat belt in a car; wear the helmet on a moto.
The driver follows the route and respects the highway code; you may ask them to slow down or stop somewhere safe.
Pay the amount shown, never more.
7.6 Motos (Clando)
Driver and passenger wear a fastened helmet. One passenger per moto, no child under 12, and no luggage or load that hinders driving. Hold on well and keep your feet on the footrests.
7.7 Minors
A child under 18 travels accompanied by an adult account holder. The driver may refuse an unaccompanied minor.
7.8 Reporting a problem
For any problem, open the ride in your history and choose Help: the ride is attached automatically and our team answers in the app. A safety report is handled first and may lead to the immediate suspension of the account concerned while it is reviewed. You can also write to us at +235 64 29 13 00.
7.9 Emergencies
In case of danger, use the app's SOS button, which alerts our team and offers to call the emergency services, and contact the emergency services directly: police 17, fire brigade 18, SAMU 2251-4242 in N'Djamena.
7.10 Consequences
Depending on the seriousness and repetition of the facts, a breach leads to a warning, a temporary suspension, closure of the account and, where the law requires or someone's safety is at stake, a report to the authorities. The person concerned may present their explanations (see "Deactivation and appeal" in the driver conditions).

9.1 Governing law
These documents and the use of the Wadini services are governed by the law of the Republic of Chad, including the OHADA Uniform Acts and Law No. 007/PR/2015 on the protection of personal data.
9.2 Amicable resolution
In case of disagreement, contact us first through Help in the app or at +235 64 29 13 00, describing the problem and attaching your evidence. We acknowledge receipt within 7 days and look for an amicable solution within 30 days. Most disputes are settled at this stage.
9.3 Mediation
If no amicable solution is found, the parties may, by mutual agreement, turn to a mediator or to the competent authority -- for example ANSICE for a personal data matter -- before any court action.
9.4 Competent courts
Failing an amicable agreement, any dispute is brought before the competent courts of N'Djamena, Republic of Chad, subject to the mandatory jurisdiction rules applicable to consumers.
9.5 Language
The documents on this page are written in French, which is the authoritative language. The Arabic and English translations are provided for your convenience; in case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
We may change the documents on this page to follow changes in the service, our technical partners or the law.
10.1 How we change these documents
Each document bears the date of its last update. Minor changes (clarifications, corrections, updated contact details) are published on this page without further formality.
10.2 Advance notice
Significant changes -- for example to the service fee, the cancellation rules or the use of your data -- are announced in the app or by notification at least 15 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Wadini after that date means you accept them; if you refuse, you may close your account before that date.
